Croc 2 Walkthrough

Area 1: Sailor Village

From the start, smash the red '?' crate to find the Magic Eye Zoomers. Then go through the open gateway ahead. Head left and over the bridge, then right past Swap Meet Pete's shop to find a trampolining Gobbo. Jump onto the middle of the trampoline (from the ground) just as the Gobbo comes down, then jump again as the trampoline rises - giving you the extra height needed to go higher than the Gobbo and earn 100 cash.

Now go and talk to the Gobbo by the tree. Follow his instructions to knock a Heart Pot from the tree. Head right to talk to the Gobbo by the river. Jump in the boat for Mission 1.

After completing it, go to Pete's shop and buy a blue Orange Jelly. Exit and go back across the bridge to talk to the Gobbo by the door. Enter it for Mission 2.

After that, return to Pete's shop and buy another Orange Jelly. Exit and talk to the Gobbo by the two large crystals, then enter the door for Mission 3.

Return to Pete's shop and buy an Orange Jelly and Lime Jelly. Exit and head past the trampolinist and over the bridge by the boat. Talk to the Gobbo on the left and enter the door for Mission 4.

Walk to the Gobbo opposite, and then enter the door to Mission 5 (you may want to buy a Lime Jelly before entering, although it's not essential).

If you've collected all five Golden Gobbos, you can open the door by the tree (with a Golden Gobbo picture on it) to enter Mission 6, Secret Level.

After that, head to the beach and the Gobbo on the left. Enter the door for Mission 7. Once completed, this is automatically followed by Mission 8. Once you've defeated the pirate in that, visit Swap Meet Pete and he'll take you to Cossack Village.

Mission 1: Croc Vs Dantini Boat Race

Easy. Just keep your finger on the _ button and avoid all obstacles, while collecting the five colored Gems. The Pink Gem is found on the first right bend; the Blue Gem on the second bend. The Yellow Gem is just after the water wheel; the Green Gem on the left after the posts. For the Red Gem (and a short cut), go through the waterfall just after the posts. Once you have all the Gems, collect the Golden Gobbo on the finish line. You'll also receive 100 crystals for winning the race.

Mission 2: Find The Key! Save The Gobbo!

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Orange Jelly

Easy. Just keep your finger on the X button and avoid all obstacles, while collecting the five colored Gems. The Pink Gem is found on the first right bend; the Blue Gem on the second bend. The Yellow Gem is just after the water wheel; the Green Gem on the left after the posts. For the Red Gem (and a short cut), go through the waterfall just after the posts. Once you have all the Gems, collect the Golden Gobbo on the finish line. You'll also receive 100 crystals for winning the race.

Mission 3: Find 5 Lost Treasure Chests

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Orange Jelly

Jump on the middle mine-cart to ride it along the track. When it's lifted up to the higher track, jump up to grab the Blue Gem. Ride along the rest of the track, jumping up for crystals. Head along the conveyor belts, jumping over the electric fields. If you have a Clockwork Gobbo, place it on the plinth and guide it along the track for crystals and a Heart. Back as Croc, wait for the crusher to fall - as it rises; run past for Chest 1 and a Heart. Return past the crusher and along the conveyor belts (or drop to the ledge below and use the balloon). Ride the mine-cart all the way back to the start.

Turn right to the next mine-cart. As you ride it, jump for Green Gem and crystals - leaning sideways for others. At then end, jump quickly along the exploding bomb crates, stomping the '?' crates for crystals. At the end is Chest 2. Ride the next mine-cart, jumping for more crystals. Head through onto the walkway over the lava. Jump left to the platform, then onto the lift when it's down. Ride it up and jump onto the ledge. Head left or right, timing your run past the moving cliff, to find Chest 3. Jump via the lift to another walkway and head left. Jump the gaps, and then ride the mine-cart, jumping for crystals and Pink Gem.

Back in the original cave, head past the middle track and round to the left to find another mine-cart to ride. At the other end, jump to the first platform and jump to tail-swipe the swinger, then use his rope to swing to the next platform. Swing across another rope, and then swipe the second swinger to use his rope. Jump over to the other side and onto the seesaw, so the Gobbo pushes Chest 4 off the high ledge. Ride the mine-cart and head onto the walkway over the lava. Time your jumps up the series of lifts to find Chest 5 at the top.

Use the balloon to float back down to the walkway. Head through the arch and jump up by the light for the Red Gem. Use an Orange Jelly on the ring to bounce up to the ledge with the Yellow Gem. Enter the Bonus Warp. Head along the conveyor belts, timing the jumps to swing over the spiked rollers via the ropes, to collect the Golden Gobbo. Back in the cavern, ride the mine-cart back to the original cave. Exit to Sailor Village.

Mission 4: Save The Bird From The Thief

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Orange Jelly, 1x Lime Jelly, and 1x Clockwork Gobbo

Follow the thief up the ramp and through the doorway. Jump via the rope to the walkway and head round to the right to collect the Red Gem and all the crystals. (If you need a Heart, drop to the lower walkway, then return with balloon.) Head to the end and jump via rope over to the ledge to enter the doorway.

Head down the ramp, jump onto the bridge, and follow it around. Swipe the Gong, then head onto the log. Time your moves past the swingers (or swipe them), but keep near the middle or you'll fall off the sides. Use the rope to swing over the spike pit. Jump to the hippo to be propelled upwards.

Stomp the two crates for crystals, and then use the ropes to swing over the spike pits. Stomp another crate for gems, and then head up the ramp and through the doorway. Stomp the crate and jump to the platform, then up and down the series of pillars. Stomp the two crates for crystals, and then enter the doorway.

Head down the ramp and swipe the gong. Head up the next ramp and around the bridge. Follow the trail of crystals up onto the next bridge. Continue round it and down the ramp, collecting the Blue Gem by the left tree. Stomp the crate, and then jump onto the hippo to be bounced up to the next ledge. Enter the doorway.

Wait for the crumbling crate the thief jumps on to be regenerated before following him, jumping to the crystal. Jump to the middle crate, and then quickly jump either left or right, and onto the next rock platform. Jump to the next crate, quickly to the middle one, then onto the next rock platform. Jump via another crate, and then drop carefully for the Heart. Use an Orange Jelly on the ring to bounce up to the ledge for the Pink Gem. Drop back down and jump along the low platforms to the balloon to float back up top. Jump to the middle crate, to the right one, then to the pillar. Jump via another crate to the ledge to enter the doorway.

Put the Lime Jelly on the green ring to bounce to the ledge above the doorway. Use the Clockwork Gobbo on the plinth: guide it around the walkway for Green Gem, Heart, and Heart Pot. Drop down and jump onto the hippo to bounce up. Use the ropes to swing across the platforms in the spike pit. Stomp the crate and head onto the bridge. Follow it round, avoiding/swiping the swingers and jumping the gaps. At the end, approach the Dantini and swipe or stomp him to release the bird.

DON'T swipe the Gong yet! Instead, collect the Yellow Gem behind it and enter the Bonus Warp. Follow the bridge, jumping the gaps and avoiding the swingers. Head up the next bridge and jump via the crate, avoiding the swinger, to collect the Golden Gobbo. Then swipe the Gong to return to Sailor Village.

Mission 5: Hey! He Stole My Lunch!

Swipe the Dantini, then jump up to grab the metal grille and climb along it to the end. Swipe the next Dantini and stomp the crate. Head onto the bridge and straight over the junction to enter the doorway. Climb up the wall and stomp the crate. Grab the balloon to float down, and then throw the Gobbo to get the Green Gem over the spikes.

Climb back up the wall and drop to exit. Head left at the junction, into the other doorway. Head down and stomp the crate. Jump quickly across the broken bridge to swipe the Dantini. Climb up the wall and onto the bridge. If you have a Clockwork Gobbo, drop down to the platform below and use it on the plinth, then guide it around the bridge for crystals and a Heart. Back as Croc float up via the balloon and cross the bridge to enter the doorway.

Jump up to grab the metal grille and climb round to the right, collecting the crystals. At the end climb onto the lift, which takes you up. Turn round and climb onto the next grille section - head round it for more crystals. Climb onto the lift at the far end to be taken up again. Turn around and collect the gems under the grille, then drop onto the top of the grille below. Head back round the far side to see the lift come down again. This time walk onto it to be taken up. Walk onto the top grille and turn left. Throw the Gobbo to collect the Pink Gem. Walk to the far side for a Heart, and then walk onto the platform. Once it's moved across, drop onto the ledge to enter the doorway.

Stomp the crystals crate. Head towards the log and wait for the Dantini to fire, then go and swipe him. Follow the trail of crystals, then head around to the left to stomp the crate of crystals in the corner. Continue round to enter the doorway.

Stomp the crate to create (crumbling) platforms above the lava, and then quickly jump along them and around the crates (either left or right) at the end. Swipe the gong and stomp the crate, then throw the Gobbo ahead for the Blue Gem. Head left and stomp the crate, then jump over to swipe the Dantini. Jump over and enter the doorway. Head over the bridge and throw the Gobbo to get the Yellow Gem. Continue round the bridge and jump via the crumbling platform to enter the doorway.

Jump up to grab the grille and climb to the crossroads: head right to the caged crate. From the top of the cage, jump to the top of the grille and stomp the crate in the middle. Head left and drop to get the Key. Climb back to the crossroads and head right to the caged crate again. Unlock it, and then stomp on it. Climb straight past the crossroads and jump via the (non-crumbling) platforms to enter the doorway.

If you have a Lime Jelly, you can use it on the green ring, then bounce onto the ledge above the doorway for a Heart and crystals crate. Drop back down and climb up the wall to find the crow: swipe him. Turn around and throw the Gobbo at the Red Gem, then drop back down to enter the Bonus Warp. Turn around and climb the wall. Turn around and jump via the platforms to claim the Golden Gobbo. Back in the main level, grab the Heart behind the Gong, and then hit it to return to Sailor Village.

Mission 6: Sailor Tribe - Secret Mine

•REQUIRED: 5 Golden Gobbos

Head around to the left, avoiding the Dantini's bolts and noting the locked cage. At the back, jump over to the platform in the lava to stomp the crates. Jump back and ride the mine-cart, collecting the crystals. Stomp the crate at the other end, and then turn right into the narrow tunnel for crystals. Enter the next-door and head right, jumping the lava pit. Jump onto the crumbling platforms and swipe the pirate to get the Heart. Jump back up the platforms to the room, then exit left and head up the tunnel.

Head round to the right and stomp the two crystals crates, then ride the mine-cart. Swipe the Dantini, then jump across the platforms to stomp the crates. Jump back and head into the tunnel. Follow it to find the Key, a Heart, and crystals crate.

Head back up the tunnel and ride the mine-cart. Head round to the left and take the original mine-cart back. Now jump over to the cage to unlock it and collect the first Jigsaw Piece.

Mission 7: Soveena The Squid

Stomp the crates, and then jump to grab the grille. Climb along it, collecting the crystals. Take a right at the junction and swipe the Dantini. Stomp the crate, then climb back to junction and head right. Stomp the crate and enter the doorway.

Collect the TNT, and then head down the jetty. Time your jumps along the moving crates and barrels, towards the squid - if you fall in the water, the TNT will explode, knocking a heart off you. When you get close enough (on the last barrel), press square to throw the TNT at it. It takes three hits to kill the squid, so head back to shore (it doesn't matter if you hit the water now) for more TNT. However, on the squid's last hit point, you need to avoid the smoking barrels and crates, otherwise your TNT will explode.

Mission 8: Cannon Boat Keith

Follow the trail of crystals, jumping the lava pits, stomping the crates, and swiping the skeletons. When you reach the main room, you need to jump up the left, middle, and right sections in turn to fire the cannons (by swiping them). Watch out for the pirate's shots and skeletons. If you do get killed, you can re-enter this mission by dropping through the opened hatch at the start of Sailor Village.

Area 2: Cossack Village

To the left is a Gobbo who needs some extra parts to finish his snowman. Head round the back of Pete's Hut to find the hat. Head forwards past the slope to find the railway platform, where you'll discover a carrot nose for the snowman. Head back to the slope and down it, then jump up past the ice. Head up the next slope towards the tree (Lava Lamp Larry's shop) - you'll find an arm behind it. Turn round and head through the gap to find another tree with an arm by it. Return to the snowman to collect your 100 cash reward.

After buying the necessary equipment, head behind Pete's shop, talk to the Gobbo, and enter the door for Mission 1.

After completing it, go to the railway station and talk to the Gobbo on the right. Enter the door for Mission 2.

Making sure you have an Orange Jelly, follow the railway track into the tunnel for Mission 3.

After stopping that train, head down the slope and jump up past the ice. Up the next slope, head left through the gap, past the snowballers, and enter the first door on the right for Mission 4.

After completing that, continue to the next door on the right to enter Mission 5.

Once you have all five Golden Gobbos, go to the secret door (with the Golden Gobbo on it) near Pete's Hut to enter Mission 6, the secret level.

When you return towards Pete's Hut, you'll find a balloon in a hole: jump in to enter Mission 7 (Boss 1). When you complete this, Mission 8 (Boss 2) will automatically follow. If you get killed there, simply re-enter the shop doorway in the tree. Once you defeat Lava Lamp Larry, visit Swap Meet Pete and he'll take you to Caveman Village

Mission 1: Save The Ice Trapped Gobbos!

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Strawberry Jelly, 1x Clockwork Gobbo

Stomp the crate for crystals, then cross the left bridge to stomp two more. The Gobbo says he'll help you clear the snow from the door if you rescue his trapped friends. Return over the bridge and head across the other one. Jump on the ice block and up for the Yellow Gem, then push the block onto the red switch to raise the drawbridge. Stomp the crate, and then place a Strawberry Jelly on the red ring to leap up to the ledge for a Heart, Red Gem, and crystal crates. Stomp the brown crate and jump back down via one of the crumbling platforms.

Cross the raised drawbridge and jump to the other side. Stomp the crystals crate, and then stomp the circle of ice to fall down the hole. Swipe the gong, and then stomp the crates. Jump across the spikes via the crumbling platforms. Jump onto the next crate, then stomp and immediately jump (thus higher than normal) to grab the Pink Gem above. Jump up the crumbling platforms to rescue the Gobbo on the ledge. Float down via the balloon. Jump on the bouncy jelly to return up top.

A Gobbo stands on the switch to complete the bridge. Cross it and push the ice block over it. Push it forward towards the tree, then stomp the crate on the left and stomp through the ice there to fall through the hole.

Stomp the crystals crate and swipe the gong. Jump up via the crumbling crates (either side) to the ledge to rescue the Gobbo. Stomp the crate, then jump to the left middle crate and wait till it crumbles, dropping you to the platform below for the Blue Gem. Jump to the crate and stomp it, then jump back via the crumbling platforms. Jump on the jelly to return to the surface.

Head for the tree and the Gobbo will chop it down for you. Push the ice block over it, and then cross over yourself. Use a Clockwork Gobbo on the plinth and move it around the tree and up the bridge for crystals, then to the Green Gem and Heart. Back as Croc, enter the Bonus Warp. Jump via the ropes and crumbling crates to get the Golden Gobbo. Cross over the rotating bridge and stomp the crate, then stomp the ice to fall down the hole.

Swipe the gong and stomp the crate. Time your jump onto the first crate as the rope swings away, so you can quickly jump to the rope and swing to the next (non-crumbling) platform. Quickly grab the next rope and swing to the crate and onto the ledge. Rescue the Gobbo and stomp the crates. Jump back via the new crumbling platforms and jump on the jelly to resurface.

The Gobbo will stop the spinning bridge so you can push the ice block over. Then push it over the suspension bridge. Follow it, stomping the crate before entering the doorway.

Jump up the pile of crates to collect the TNT barrel. Step on the gray rock below and throw it at the blockage where the hand is waving. Rescue the Gobbo and stomp the crystals crates. The Gobbo will stand on the switch, so jump on the ice block to go up. Push the ice block through the doorway and follow it.

The Gobbo outside gets the TNT barrel out of the ice block for you. Pick up the barrel and cross the bridge to throw it at the snow blocking the original doorway. Go through to return to Cossack Village.

Mission 2: KaBooom! It's Roger Red Ant

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Clockwork Gobbo

If you have an Orange Jelly, you can use it on the left ring to reach the high ledge for extra crystals crates. Back on the ground, stomp the crate, then jump left to swipe the Dantini and jump up the platforms to enter the doorway.

Roger Ant challenges you to carry the bomb box: quickly take it along the tunnel. Jump via the crate, cross over the crumbling walkway, and follow the next tunnel. Throw the box at the door before time runs out. Go through.

Another time limit... Stomp the crystal crate on the left, then jump forward to the walkway and swipe the Dantini. Head left and stomp the first timer switch for extra time. Continue round and head left to claim the Green Gem and crystals crate. Return to the main walkway and continue round to stomp the next timer. Turn round and head left up the fork and quickly jump on the lift before it rises.

Jump off and head right, over the crumbling section. Continue straight on to the end to stomp another timer. Turn round and head left over the crumbling section to jump to the lift, which rises. Turn left and jump over the crumbling section to stomp the final timer. Continue round to the right and swipe the Dantini. Head left and jump onto the large crate to rescue the Gobbo. Continue round and over crumbling sections, to the hole: drop in it to return to the start of the level.

Jump right to swipe the Dantini and jump up to enter the doorway. Time to carry another bomb box through the tunnels and throw it at the door. Go through and jump over the bomb crates before they explode, to the platform. Then jump right to the nearest part of the ledge. Quickly jump to the bomb crate to rescue the Gobbo. Now jump via the remaining bomb crates to the exit hole (if they've already exploded, you can jump via the small platforms in the left tunnel instead).

Back at the start, head forwards between the Dantini, stomping the crate before entering the doorway. Swipe the Gong, and then jump onto it and up to the ledge above the doorway for a Heart. Through the arch there you'll find a crystals crate and the Blue Gem.

Drop back down and jump left to stomp a crate. Jump via the crumbling crate to swipe the Dantini. Jump via another crate to enter the doorway.

Pick up the bomb box and run through the tunnel, jumping the pit. Jump over the platform and dodge past the rolling barrel. Continue through the next tunnel, jumping the pit, and throw the bomb box at the door. Enter it.

Stomp the crate (if you want) and swipe/avoid the Dantini. Time your run past the barrel, jumping the Dentini’s firebolt. Dodge two more barrels, and then jump to swipe the Dantini. Jump up to the right pillar for the Red Gem. Then jump to the other pillar to rescue the Gobbo. Continue forwards past more barrels, stomping the crates. Swipe the Dantini at the end and jump into the hole.

Jump right to stomp the crate, then jump up via the crate to swipe the Dantini. Jump up via the crate to enter the doorway. Pick up the bomb box and run through the tunnel, jumping the pit. Time your jumps along the platforms to avoid the fireballs. Jump another pit and throw the box at the door, then enter it.

Jump onto the first platform, then to the one with the arrows: you can steer it by moving the D-pad. Guide it around the trail of crystals, avoiding the steam jets. Jump off the other side and onto the crumbling crate to rescue the Gobbo. Jump into the hole.

Stomp the crate (if you haven't already) and head through the now opened middle door. Turn left and use a Clockwork Gobbo on the plinth. Guide it quickly around the twisting walkway to collect he crystals and the Pink Gem at the end. Back as Croc, jump up the platforms to collect he Yellow Gem. Enter the Bonus Warp and jump along the platforms and crates, avoiding the fireball, for the Golden Gobbo.

Back in the main level, head left and jump to enter door. You have to race a fuse to the captured Gobbo, but it's easy enough to beat. Head through the tunnel, jumping the pit. When you reach the bomb crates, you can either jump up them or take the right tunnel up. Jump over the small platforms in the lava, and then head along the bendy walkway (you can jump across to save time) to the Gobbo. Quickly jump into the hole to return to where you found the Yellow Gem.

This time head right and jump to enter the door. You have to race another fuse through the tunnel. When you reach the next room, you have another choice of route: either over the bomb crates; or into the right lava tunnel, jumping pits and small platforms. Both lead to the Gobbo, so release him, and then drop into the hole.

Head forwards to swipe the Dantini, and then jump over to enter the door. Move forwards and an automatic scene will show Roger Red Ant blowing himself up.

Mission 3: Chase The Choo Choo Train

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Orange Jelly

There's no need to race the train, so take your time. Follow the track down the tunnel to the next room. Head forward over the ice and place the Orange Jelly on the ring. Use it to bounce up to the Red Gem on the pillar. Drop back down and swipe the pink Dantini (jump over his bolt). Follow the tunnel, swiping two more Dantini. Head left over the ice to swipe a Dantini. Time your run past the crusher to claim the Green Gem. Return to the ice and jump up the pillars and over the crumbling ice platform to enter the tunnel. Follow it round, then jump via the platforms to swipe the Dantini and stomp the crate. Enter the far doorway.

You'll see the train going along the track. Follow the ledge right, jumping the gap - beware the falling rocks. Continue along, jumping more gaps, and enter the doorway at the end. Jump via the pillars and head onto the slippery ice (to stop yourself sliding, do a stomp). Time your moves past the swinging logs - any contact will hurt Croc. Bang the Gong and collect the crystals around the pillar. Jump via the platform to the far side. Stomp the platforms crate. Jump back to the platform, then right up the new ice ones, onto the pillars for Pink Gem and crystals crate. Return down the ice platforms and left to enter the door.

Jump up the pillars to swipe the Dantini, then do a stomp and high jump to reach the next pillar for the crystals crate. Drop and continue over the ice to swipe the next Dantini. Jump onto the stack of crates, then do a stomp and high jump to reach the Heart on the pillar. Continue over the ice and jump to the platform, then right to swipe the Dantini and stomp the crate. Jump back to the platform and right.

Head over the ice and time your moves past more logs. Swipe the Dantini and continue over the ice. Stomp the crate and swipe the Dantini, then jump the gap to the next sheet of ice, then solid ground again. If you have a Clockwork Gobbo, place it on the plinth, then guide it straight over the crossroads, round and over the crossroads again, collecting the crystals and Heart. Back as Croc, jump the gap and enter the doorway. Head right along the ledge, jumping the gaps when rocks aren't falling. Enter the doorway at the end.

Bang the Gong, then jump up the pillars to stomp the crates. Continue over the ice, timing your move past the floating ghost, to jump over to the right for the Blue Gem. Jump back and via the right platform to the next ice sheet. Time you move past another ghost, jumping left for the crystals crate before continuing along the ice walkway. Head past the next ghost, stomping the crate in the middle. Continue round the ice walkway and jump via the platform to the next ice sheet. Swipe the Dantini at the far end, then turn round and jump up the pillars for a Heart.

Turn around and head to the far side again. Continue over the ice to find a cage containing the Yellow Gem. Do a stomp and high jump to the bridge, then head left or right to find the room with the Key and crystals crate. Return to the cage and unlock it for the Yellow Gem.

Enter the Bonus Warp and follow the twisting ice walkway, swiping Dantinis, to collect the Golden Gobbo. Back in the main level, drop down and enter the doorway. Quickly run to the switch and swipe it to stop the train getting away - otherwise you'll have to do the whole level over again!

Mission 4: It's Just Snowball Madness!

Croc has to roll the snowman's head down to the bottom of the course. If it starts moving too fast, move in the opposite direction to slow it down. Roll carefully down the path, collecting crystals. When you reach the ice sheet, roll towards the bottom of the screen to find the Red Gem.

Roll around the wooden rails - don't worry, you can't fall off. Then head up the slope and smash the crystals crate, and then roll carefully down to collect the Green Gem. Continue right along the ledge to hit a Dantini and another crate. Head right to roll another Dantini, then up and right around the ledge, collecting crystals. Continue past the next Dantini and jump up to swipe the Gong.

Head right along the path to the fork, then take the path on the left side of the screen. You need to build up some momentum to get up the steep slope. Head left (on screen) at the top for another crate. Continue round and up for the Heart and Pink Gem. Return down and round to the right for the next crate.

Now head back down the steep slope to the fork. This time take the right path round, collecting the crystals. At the fork, for an extra crystal, take the bottom path, and then head back. Take the top path and time your moves past the two red ski jumpers. At the crossroads, head down and round for the Heart, then right for the Blue Gem. Return left and head up to collect the crate. Continue up to the crossroads. This time head left over the hump, rolling over the Dantini at the bottom. Continue left along the next path to the Gong and hit it.

Head down the screen, collecting the crystals, and over the narrow ledge. Carefully collect more crystals on the right, and then continue downwards. Roll over the three Dantinis, and then smash the crate on the left. Head down onto the rails and up the ice slope at the other end. Head down the screen by the large hole to collect the Yellow Gem. Continue right to squash some Dantinis. Go upwards for a crate, then down for another one. Proceed to the right and down the steep path, avoiding ski jumpers. Continue around the main path, collecting crystals and avoiding more red jumpers. Collect the Golden Gobbo and reach the end to place the head on the snowman.

Mission 5: Hang Glider Valley

You have to steer the glider to rescue the seven Gobbos (and collect the five Bonus Gems). Head straight for the first ring of crystals - fly through it to collect them. Continue straight for Gobbo 1 hanging from the bridge. Fly into the thermal to increase your height, then head right for Gobbo 2. Return to the middle for Gobbo 3, then head right for the Red Gem.

Return to the middle for Gobbo 4, and then steer the right. Push a on the D-pad to decrease height enough to go through the ring and collect the Green Gem. Go through more rings and into the thermal to increase height again. Head straight for Gobbo 5, then left for the Pink Gem (lowering height a little if needed). Steer back to the middle for the ring, then right for the Blue Gem.

Continue on the right side for Gobbo 6, then to the middle for the ring, and left for Gobbo 7. Return to the middle and fly through the first ring, steer right for the Yellow Gem, then back to the middle for the next ring.

Mission 6: Cossack Tribe - Secret Ice Cap

Head over the bridge and, dodging the explosive barrel, stomp the crystals crate. Time your move over the next bridge to avoid the barrel again. Stomp the crate and time you move over the next bridge. Stomp another crystals crate, then time your run up the next bridge, so the barrel bounces safely over you. Avoid the barrel and stomp the crate, then time your run up the next bridge.

Follow the trail of crystals, but watch out for the falling rocks just after them - time your move past them and some more at the far end of the valley. Stomp the crystals crate, then the platforms one, and then jump up the crumbling ice platforms. Stomp another crystals crate, then the platforms one: jump up the next series of ice platforms. You guessed it: stomp the crates and head up yet more platforms. Repeat the same procedure on the next ledge to reach the top. Follow the crystals trail over the series of bridge and enter the doorway.

Avoiding the barrels, head up the right bridge and stomp the crystals crates. Up the next bridge, a Dantini s waiting to be swiped. Jump over the ice platforms, and then stomp the platforms crate. Head back over the ice platforms to swipe that Dantini again, then right over the bridge. To the right you'll spot the caged Jigsaw Piece - carry straight on over the next bridge to swipe another Dantini. For more crystals crates, head left down the bridge, then return. Jump over the ice platforms to get the Key and stomp the final crystals crate.

Head back over the ice platforms and swipe the regenerated Dantini. Head left over the bridge, then left to unlock the cage for the Jigsaw Piece.

Mission 7: Flavio The Thermal

The bloated Flavio must be defeated by dropping ice cubes on him. Avoiding the water he spits out, head over to the ice cube and hold _ to lower the balloon onto it - careful not to hit the land, though, or you'll lose a heart. If you hit Flavio with a cube, he'll dive down - now quickly get another cube and drop it into his pool. Having lost an energy point, Flavio resurfaces to spit more water at you. Repeat the process a couple more times to finally freeze the pool and defeat Flavio.

Mission 8: Lava Lamp Larry

You need to freeze all the lava pools to stop the bearded Larry popping up through them. Pushing the large ice block into a lava pool will instantly freeze it. However, if Larry or one of his fireballs hits the block, it'll shrink to a smaller one. In this case, pick it up and chuck it in a pool - two such small blocks will freeze it.

It's best to freeze the pools nearer to the ice-block dispenser first, so you don't have to get past Larry to reach the far ones. You can also hide behind the ice block to avoid his fireballs.

Area 3: Caveman Village

It's time to make some Ginger Soda. From the start, head left along the passage and to the left of the garage you'll find some fizz. Return towards Pete's Hut and head up the sloping path. Jump via the platforms in the lava to the ring of stones. Head down the right sloping path to find a bag of sugar. Return up to the stones and head down the darkened path (between the two thin stones). Under the watchtower on the right you'll find some ginger. Jump into the water on the left to find the final ingredient: a bucket. Now approach the cauldron to make the Ginger Soda. Now go back to the King Gobbo (the one with the crown) near Pete's Hut to collect your 100 crystals reward.

Head back up the sloping path and talk to the left Gobbo, then enter the door and the jungle for Mission 1. After collecting the two wheels to complete it, enter the opposite door to find two more in Mission 2. With all four wheels, head down and right past Pete's Hut to the garage to enter Mission 3, the car race.

Head back up past Pete's Hut and over the lava platforms to the ring of stones. Enter the door there for Mission 4. Head down the darkened path (between the two thin stones), then past the cauldron to enter the right door for Mission 5.

Once you have all five Golden Gobbos, head back to the ring of stones and down the sloping path to enter the Golden Gobbo door on the right for Mission 6, the secret level. After collecting the Jigsaw Piece, head into the right doorway to meet the first boss (Mission 7). The second boss (Mission 8) automatically follows when you defeat it. After defeating them both, head for Pete's Hut to be transported to the next village.

Mission 1: Find The Wheels In The Jungle!

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Orange Jelly

Swipe the Dantini native, then jump over the lava and swipe the two crystals crates. Climb up the middle of the back wall. Get both crystals crates, and then enter the open door at the left end of the bridge.

Jump over the lava pit and onto the mesh walkway. Where it passes under the higher walkway, jump up to grab the latter, and then monkey-climb back to collect the Key. Drop back to the low walkway, then stomp and jump to the top of the high one. Stomp the crystals crates, then head to the far end and jump to the pillar in the lava. Swing over on the rope, and then follow the tunnel, jumping over lava pits, to find the Red Gem. If you have a Clockwork Gobbo, use it on the plinth and guide it round the walkway for a Heart and crystals. As Croc, return through the tunnel and swing over on the rope. Head back along the walkway and over the lava pit to exit.

Back outside, head over the bridge to unlock and enter the locked door. Head over the bridge to find Wheel 1. Go through the doorway and stomp and jump from the crate to the higher ledge (or cross the platforms in the lava and do a super stomp-jump up via right gray rock). Get the crystals crate and head down the tunnel for more, jumping lava pits. Swipe the Dantini at the end, and then swing via the rope. Stomp and jump to grab the mesh, and then climb over to the left for the Green Gem. Jump down to the crystals crate, and then take the balloon up to the far side.

Grab the crystals crate, then head right. For an optional Heart and crystals crate, place an Orange Jelly on the ring to bounce to the right ledge (don't try jumping to the mesh walkway there - it's just the bit for the Clockwork Gobbo). Drop down and stomp-jump up via the gray rock. Head past the locked door and stomp-jump to the top of the mesh for extra crystals. Jump back and enter the open door.

Bang the Gong, then swipe the Dantini and jump over the narrow part of the lava. Use an Orange Jelly on the left ring, to bounce up to the ledge. Kill the Dantini, and then grab the Pink Gem and crystals crate. Drop down and collect the crystals under the skeleton, then jump onto the first dinosaur head. Wait till it's at its closest to the second one before jumping over, then leap to the platform. Stomp the crate to create platforms, so you don't have to use those damn heads on your return.

Jump over the lava, ready to swipe some raptors: you have to hit each one twice to kill it. Follow the path to the stones and swipe the Dantini. Stomp-jump up onto the stones for crystals and the Blue Gem. Drop down and collect the Key at the back. Return along the path and jump over the platforms in the lava. Head past the skeleton and over the narrow lava bit again to exit by the Gong.

Head left to unlock the door and enter it. Head over the bridge to collect Wheel 2. Stomp-jump up to the left stone for the Yellow Gem. Drop down and enter the Bonus Warp. Jump to the mesh walkway and follow it round, timing your runs past the fireballs. At the end, jump over to the Golden Gobbo.

Back in the main level, exit through the door to return to the section near the start. Head round past the bridge and drop down on the far side (avoiding/killing the Dantini) to exit through the door.

Mission 2: Find The Wheels In The Mine!

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Green Jelly, 1x Clockwork Gobbo

Jump on the mine cart to ride it down the track. After dropping onto the second section of track for a crystal, steer right to take the right fork, collecting more crystals. Quickly steer left to avoid the dodgy track around the bend, then steer right around the left bend (confusing eh?). Steer left to collect more crystals, then be ready to jump the gap. The ride ends after passing through the door.

Place a Clockwork Gobbo on the plinth and guide it along the mesh walkway - go straight over the crossroads and round, collecting crystals and Heart, to end with the Red Gem.

Back as Croc, go through the door. Bang the Gong, and then get the crystals crate over to the left. Return to the Gong and push the glass case onto the conveyor belt below. Jump down there (getting the Heart on the right). See those bomb boxes on the mesh ledges? You have to throw them at the glass case and hit it five times to release Wheel 3. The bad news is that the glass case explodes when it reaches the end of the third conveyor; the good news is that you can jump back up the ledges to make another glass block fall onto the first conveyor, and your bomb hits add up so you can take your time.

Once you have the wheel, jump over the final conveyor to the solid ledge. Place a Green Jelly on the ring to bounce up to the high ledge for crystals crates and the Green Gem. Drop down again and stomp more crystals crates before exiting via the door.

Jump to the conveyor after the bomb barrel explodes, and keep running up so the barrels go over your head. Jump to the platform, then time your jump and run up the second conveyor.

Ride the mine cart, and simply keep steering right to avoid the dodgy track. At the end, get the crystals crates, and then jump onto the conveyor belt and head to the end for a Heart. Jump to right to the far end of the track. Wait for the Dantini in the mine cart to pass, then run and jump up to the switch in the middle and flick it to make him smash through the blocked-up doorway. Head round the track to collect the Pink Gem. Go through the new doorway and stomp the crates before exiting.

Get the crystals crate, and then jump to the straight track. Head along the conveyor belts to jump to the switch. Flick it to raise the glass case. Return to the track and wait for the Dantini cart rider to pass, before running round to the left. As it straightens out a bit, turn right and use the rope to swing over to the platform with another switch. Flick it to send the Dantini smashing through the glass case and the blocked-off exit. Swing back on the rope, then head right for the Yellow Gem. Head round to the straight track for Wheel 4. Continue along the track to drop down to the doorway. Get the crystals crate before exiting.

Jump to the steerable platform and head left for the crystals crate. Ride the steerable platform forward, avoiding fireballs, to stomp two more crates. Now head for the Blue Gem: the best technique is to ignore the fireball and stop under the gem so you can jump straight up for it - just make sure you don't drop into the lava afterwards or the Bonus Warp will disappear! Steer the platform onwards for another crate, then to the far ledge to enter the Bonus Warp.

Stomp the crate, and then jump up the three crumbling platforms (yikes) to the ledge. Stomp another crate, and then jump up three more crumbling platforms. Repeat this process one more time to reach the top ledge with the Golden Gobbo.

Back in the main level, exit and bang the Gong. Ride the mine cart and steer left, then right, and right again to avoid the dodgy track. Jump the two gaps, then steer left to avoid dodgy track, and you can cruise to the end. Bang Pete's Gong to return to the village.

Mission 3: Race Day At Goldrock

It's another three-lap race, which Croc must come first to complete the level. As before, the Bonus Gems are littered around the track: Pink on the right after the start, Yellow on the right of the first left bend, Green after the water, Red in the skeleton on the outside of the right bend, Blue on the inside of the right bend before the finish. Go for the Bonus Gems first, to collect the Golden Gobbo on the finish line (even if you don't win the race).

Although you'll get left on the starting line, catching the Dantinis isn't too difficult as they're not very good drivers. Just take a tight line around the inside of the bends and avoid too much contact with the cars when overtaking them. You should catch up with the final Dantini on the last lap - he takes a better line around the corners, but you should be able to overtake him around the inside of the last bend before the finish line.

Mission 4: Climb The Devil's Tower

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Clockwork Gobbo

Cross the bridge to meet the first trio of clubbing creatures. Either avoid them or swipe them to stun them, and then enter the doorway. Stun another trio of clubbers, and then jump across the gaps in the bridge. Avoid more clubbers, and then climb up the middle of the wall. Stun more clubbers as you head left to climb up the next wall. Stomp the crystals crate before exiting.

Swipe the Dantini, then jump left via the moving platform for crystals crates and the Green Gem. Jump back to the moving platform and ride it left to jump to the next ledge. Swipe the Dantini and exit.

Swipe/avoid the Dantini and climb up the left wall. Grab the crystals crate and follow the ledge round to enter the doorway. Collect the ring of crystals and exit. Head left past the skeleton for a crystals crate, and then enter the doorway.

Jump over the lava to the next ledge, ready to stun the clubbers. Jump to the next ledge and stun more clubbers, then to the far ledge to bang the Gong. Head into the tunnel, jumping the lava pit. Stomp the crate to create platforms in the lava. Head to the left of the fire and jump down to the island with the Red Gem. Cross back via the platforms and head back up the tunnel.

Place a Clockwork Gobbo on the plinth and guide it over the bridges, collecting crystals, Heart, and the Blue Gem. Back as Croc, enter the doorway. Swipe the Dantini and head behind the skeleton. For an optional Heart and crystals crates, place a Green Jelly on the ring to bounce up to the ledge. Drop back down and head left for another crate, and then climb the wall to the next ledge. You can't cross the bridge, so enter the doorway.

Swipe the Dantini and grab the crystals crate. Jump to the mesh walkway and via the crumbling platform to the next walkway. Turn around and jump down to another crumbling platform, then over to the island with the Pink Gem. Turn around and wait for another crumbling platform to appear. Jump via the islands/platforms to a larger island, then over to the Heart. Jump onto the lift and over to the ledge. Jump via the crumbling platform to the mesh walkway and follow it round to find another crystals crate. Backtrack to the ledge; get another crate, and then exit.

Cross the bridge, then head right across another bridge. Bang the Gong, and then enter the doorway. Swipe the Dantini, and then jump via the crumbling platforms to get the Yellow Gem. When the platforms reappear, jump back along them and enter the Bonus Warp. Jump via the crumbling platform, down to the opposite ledge. Jump across to stomp the two crates if you want. Enter the tunnel and jump via the small platforms in the lava pits, then over to the Golden Gobbo.

Back in the main level, enter the doorway. Cross the bridge, stun the clubbers, and then cross the short bridge. For a Heart, head round to the left; for a crystals crate, go round to the right (avoiding clubbers). Return to by the short bridge and climb the wall to find a bone ladder. For more crystals crates, head round the back and enter the doorway. Return to the bone ladder and climb it to enter the doorway. Follow the tunnel to find the mammoth - walk to it to complete the level.

Mission 5: Save 50 Trapped Gobbos!

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Orange Jelly, 1x Clockwork Gobbo

Head left to swipe a flame-throwing Dantini. Follow the path and edge past the flames. In the open area, head right to the pool and stomp-jump onto the stone for the Yellow Gem. Jump in the pool to collect some water. Head back to those flames you passed and use the water to extinguish them to rescue two Gobbos. Return to the open area and extinguish the flaming tree to rescue Gobbo 3 on top. Enter the doorway.

Use your water to rescue Gobbos 4 and 5. Then swipe the fire-starting Dantini and put out the fire behind to rescue Gobbo 6. Refill in the pool, and then continue round to extinguish a flame wall to rescue Gobbos 7 and 8. Place an Orange Jelly on the ring to bounce up to the ledge for a Heart and Green Gem.

Drop down and take the right of the two paths to find a burning tree. Extinguish it to save Gobbo 9 on top. Refill your water and return along the path. Head past the Orange Jelly and right down the other path. Swipe the Dantini and stomp-jump up to the left stone for Gobbo 10. Refill and climb the back wall. Turn around and jump to the stone arch for Gobbo 11. Climb back up the wall and squirt the flames for Gobbos 12 to 14. Stomp-jump onto the left stone for the Blue Gem.

Follow the path and wade through the mud to rescue Gobbos 15 to 17. Continue and squirt the next fire to rescue Gobbo 18 on the stone. Swipe the Dantini and proceed to the ring of fire - extinguish it to rescue Gobbo 19 in the middle. Use a Clockwork Gobbo on the plinth and guide it round the bridges for Red Gem and Heart.

Back as Croc, head right to rescue Gobbos 20 and 21. Refill in the pool and enter the doorway. Bang the Gong and cross the bridge. Take the balloon down and swipe the Dantini if you want. Put out the fire and jump over to rescue Gobbos 22-25. Put out the fire and jump over. Extinguish the first two fires to rescue Gobbos 26 and 27, at which point you'll run out of water. Swipe the Dantini and enter the doorway, then go to the back to find a small pool to refill. Backtrack through the doorway to put out the two fires you missed, for Gobbos 28 and 29. Enter the doorway again.

Refill in the small pool again and head right to swipe the Dantini. Put out the flame wall there to rescue Gobbos 30 and 31. Proceed under the bridge and jump to grab the mesh walkway. Climb around it to rescue Gobbos 32-35. Drop off the other end, then stomp-jump up onto the walkway for the Pink Gem, Heart, and Key. Turn around and drop down to enter the Bonus Warp.

Jump over the gap in the bridge and swipe the Dantini. Swing over the lava via the rope and swipe the next Dantini. Swing over to the third Dantini and swipe him. Then grab that Golden Gobbo.

Back in the main level, head back over the mesh walkway and climb the left wall to find Gobbo 36. Cross the bridge and swipe the Dantini, then extinguish the tree for Gobbo 37. Float down on the balloon and swipe the Dantini. Unlock the cage and stomp the crate, then jump via the (non-crumbling) platforms to rescue Gobbos 38-41. Return along the platforms and up the wall, then drop left off the bridge and return over the mesh walkway.

Rescue Gobbo 42 on the stone, then 43-46 behind him. Stomp the crate, and then cross the (non-crumbling) platforms over the lava to enter the doorway. Save Gobbos 47 and 48 from the stones and refill in the left pool. Proceed along the path to find Gobbos 49. Put out the flames to save Gobbo 50 and return to the start. Exit through the doorway to return to the village.

Mission 6: Caveman Tribe - Secret Mine

Ride the mine cart, steering left around the right bend, then right around the left. After the tunnel you'll come to a series of two forks. Unless you want to collect all the crystals by taking the various routes, steer left and right at the forks to go straight on. Steer right around the left bend. After the tunnel and crossroads you'll come to another fork: take the right-hand route (the left just leads to a Heart and the level exit). There's a gap just after the crossroads, so be ready to jump. You then just need to steer left around a right bend to reach the end of the line.

Get off and follow the tunnel, jumping lava pits, to find the Jigsaw Piece at the end. Collect it to complete the mission and be transported back to the village.

Mission 7: Venus Fly Von-Trappe

Stomp the crate on the right, and then head left. Time your jump to the rope as the Venus Flytrap opens, and then swing past it to the platform in the lava. Turn right and jump over to the far platform (don't bother trying to jump up to the bridge - it's impossible). Turn left and time another rope swing past the second plant to reach the far side. Stomp the crystals crate, and then enter the doorway.

Swipe/avoid the skeletons to either side and follow the tunnel, swiping more skeletons. In the next room, swipe the skelly, and then stomp the crate on the right. Follow the next tunnel, swiping skelly, up to a large room. Swipe another skeleton and stomp the crate on the right, then enter the next door (the right of the two) to exit back outside.

Stomp the crate and cross the bridge. Float down on the balloon, dropping off for the crate, then swing on either rope to the far side. Enter the doorway to another cave. Swipe/avoid the skeletons and head up the tunnel, swiping another. Three more skeletons guard a crystals crate in the next room. When you've got it, head through the next door (the left of the two). Swipe more skellies as you head up the tunnel, then several more in the room for the two crystals crates. Exit through the door (the left of the two).

Back outside time your jump to the balloon as the plants open, so you float safely over them. Stomp the crate and enter the doorway to finally reach the boss. Grab a white boulder from by the boss, avoiding his tentacles - it's easier to get the boulder from the side. Take it up to the top of either slope (taking care to avoid the tunnelling tentacle) and stand on the dark mark. Time your throw so the boulder rolls down, avoids the tentacles, and lands in the boss's open mouth. It's a bit hit and miss, so just keep trying. He'll then spit out a Gobbo - rescue him. Roll another boulder into the boss's mouth and rescue the Gobbo. Roll a third boulder into the mouth to complete the mission. After a cut scene, you'll automatically face the Village Masher...

Mission 8: The Village Masher

The quick way to the boss is simply to stomp-jump up to the bridge, then head round to the left to enter the doorway. However, you may want to collect all the crystals first... Stomp the first crate, and then time your jumps past the plants in the lava to find two more crates. Climb the middle of the wall and enter the doorway. In the cave, swipe the skeleton and stomp two more crates. Jump via the small platforms in the tunnel's lava pits and swipe more skellies. Jump another pit and stomp the crate, then jump over more small platforms. Swipe a skeleton and stomp two crates, then exit.

Cross the bridge and head round to the left. Stomp the two crates, and then enter the doorway to meet the boss. Avoiding the Masher and his flame breath, grab the bucket and head for the pool. Throw the bucket in the pool to fill it, and then pick it up again. Now approach the Masher from the side and, when he breathes fire, throw your bucket of water at his mouth from close range to knock an energy point off him. Repeat this process two more times to kill him

Area 4: Inca Village

Head up the path and right to talk to the Gobbo with the bowl of Ginger Soda. In the resulting burping contest, you simply have to tap the _ button rapidly to make your burp meter rise higher than his! If you do, he'll give you 100 crystals.

Now head left to enter the door for Mission 1. After rescuing all those babies, head for the opposite door and Mission 2 - the only other standard level. Upon completing it, you'll see a cut scene, leading you straight into Mission 3, the first boss. Missions 4 to 6 follow automatically.

Once you've defeated Baron Dante and watched the end sequence, you're returned to the village. Head up the slope of the pyramid and drop left to the first ledge. Head round it to enter the secret door to Mission 7. After that, with all four Jigsaw Pieces in your inventory, it's time to visit Swap Meet Pete, who'll send you on a secret mission to save the eggs.

Mission 1: Save 30 Gobbo Babies!

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Clockwork Gobbo

In this level you have to find 30 babies and put them in one of the playpens. You can only carry one baby at a time, though, so you'll need to keep going to and fro.

Head to the far right corner and swipe the two Dantinis to rescue Baby 1. Put him in the playpen and head up to the fountain. Break open the urn for Baby 2 and take him to the playpen. Head straight over the fountain and round the far right tower to find a Key. Swipe the Dantinis here for Babies 3 and 4, taking them to the pen in turn.

From the pen, head straight over the fountain to find a Dantini running left and right, holding Baby 5. After rescuing him, head round to the far left of the fountain to find the caged Baby 6 - use your key to free him. From the pen, head straight over the fountain to the crystals. Enter the left door and smash the urns in the shop to find Babies 7 and 8 - take them in turn to the pen.

Head straight past the fountain and doorway and up the steps. Swipe the bolt-firing Dantini and head under the arches. Jump up the left roofs to find another Key. Jump back to the previous roof and onto the bridge to find Baby 9 - you can take him to a second playpen in the middle of the next open area: the playground. In the left corner you'll find Babies 10 and 11 on the swings - swipe the Dantinis to rescue them. Climb up the grass slope and swipe the Dantini by the caged Baby 12 - before penning him, jump up to the top of the steps for the Red Gem.

Back down on the ground, head between the gray and brown walls to find a roundabout with Babies 13-16: avoid them hitting you as you run to the middle to swipe the Dantini. After penning the last one, head right past the pillar and swipe the Dantini. Head up the steps and under the arch to swipe the Dantini with Baby 17: instead of going back to the previous pen, proceed to the open area and round to the right for another playpen. Turn left and you'll find the Yellow Gem in the middle of the flowerbed. Just past it is a tower with a Heart on its roof.

From there, jump to the nearby wooden walkway and swipe the Dantini. Heading right around the walkways you'll find more Dantinis, crystals, and Babies 18-21. After penning them all, head left from the playpen, under the bridge, to swipe a Dantini with Baby 22 - take it down the steps to the next playpen, in the market.

On the roof just to the right of that pen, you'll find Baby 23 - stomp-jump to reach it. Then enter the nearby doorway. Use a Clockwork Gobbo on the plinth, then guide it around the walkway for crystals, Heart, and Pink Gem - you need to take a tight line around the corners to make it there. Back as Croc, climb the ladder to find another Key and Heart.

Exit the room and head left to find a Dantini holding Baby 24. Smash the urns by the stalls to find Babies 25 and 26. Head round to the left to find Dantinis playing catch with Baby 27. After returning him to the pen, head back this way and down the steps. Swipe the bolt-firing Dantini, then one holding Baby 28. Return him to the pen, and then come back here.

Head left to find Dantinis playing catch with Baby 29. Round the back of the statue you'll also find the Green Gem. After penning the baby, return down the steps and head right through the doorway, swiping the bolt-firing Dantini. Head up the right steps to find the Blue Gem. Enter the Bonus Warp below: go straight ahead for a Key, then turn round and head right to find the caged Golden Gobbo - easy or what?

Back as Croc, collect Baby 30 and follow the trail of crystals back to the start, where you can put the baby in the pen. Exit via the door (by the signpost) to return to the village.

Mission 2: Up The Waterfall

•EQUIPMENT: 1x Orange Jelly, 1x Clockwork Gobbo

Jump over the crumbling platforms and place an Orange Jelly on the ring. Bounce up to the ledge for the Yellow Gem. Drop back down by the jelly and head round the left of the pool for a crystals crate. Jump up the platforms in the pool and stomp-jump up to the ledge. Head up it, swiping a dart-blowing Dantini.

Climb up the ivy to the next ledge and head right to stomp a crystals crate. Jump over the platforms in the waterfall and follow the trail of crystals to another dart-blowing Dantini. Climb up the ivy to the next ledge. Head left and cross the long bridge. At the pool, swim over to the dart-blower and swipe him, then stomp the crate. Swim to the doorway and enter it.

Bang the Gong and stomp the crystals crate. Jump to the platform in the water and swing on the snake's tail to reach the Green Gem. Drop off and swim right. Zigzag to avoid the frog's shots, and then jump on his pad to swipe him. Do the same for the frog around the corner. Swim to the next ledge and swipe the dart-blower before stomping the crate. Jump via the crumbling platforms to the right ledge and follow the trail of crystals. Jump via more crumbling platforms and swipe the dart-blower.

Jump on the raft in the water to ride it through the tunnel. Swim over to the ledge and jump out to swipe the dart-blower. Head right to find a crate - you need to stomp-jump from it to the platform above. Jump over to the Heart, then to the Red Gem. Drop down and enter the doorway.

Back outside, head right and jump via the crumbling crate and platforms to the far side of the waterfall. Jump up to the next ledge and follow it round to the large rock. Stomp-jump from it up the tree branches to the high ledge. Swipe the dart-blower and jump into the left side of the fast-flowing water, then keep jumping diagonally left to get to the other side. Enter the doorway.

Bang the Gong and swing over the spike pit on the snake's tail. Jump via the crumbling platform to the crate. Stomp it, and then swing by the next two snakes' tails, and a crumbling crate, to the far side. Swipe the dart-blower and enter the doorway.

Back outside, swipe the dart-blower and stomp the crate. Head over the bridge, swiping two more dart-blowers. Get the two crystals crates, and then jump up via the rock to the next ledge for another. Place a Clockwork Gobbo on the plinth and guide it over the bridge for crystals, Heart, and Blue Gem - just about!

Back as Croc, jump via the crumbling platform and swipe the trio of dart-blowers. Jump to the top of the tree there for the Pink Gem. Drop off and enter the Bonus Warp. Swing via the snake tails to reach the Golden Gobbo.

Back in the main level, enter the doorway. Swipe/avoid the dart-blower and climb the left ivy. Swipe-avoid the dart-blower and swim over the water to swipe another. Jump up to the next ledge and head right to swipe a dart-blower and get the crystals crate. Return left and climb the ivy. Head right for another dart-blower and crystals crate. Cross the fast flowing water, as before, to reach the machine. Jump to the top of it and onto the button to complete the level.

Mission 3: Dante's Peak

The high-flying Croc gets into a plane to shoot down the giant Dante, King Kong-style. Just press _ to shoot the balloon bombs. As you get nearer to Dante, he'll launch fireballs at you, so be ready to dodge them. To knock off an energy point, shoot his belt buckle. Fly past the mountain, ready for the next pass. You can only shoot him once on each pass, but a couple more hits on that buckle will finish off Dante. You'll then be transported to Mission 4.

Mission 4: Bride Of The Dungeon Of Defright

This is a series of five puzzle rooms. Head right to the far blue button and jump on it six times to raise the pillar. Jump six times on the next button and so on, to raise all the pillars - just tap the _ button for shorter, quicker jumps. Now quickly head back to the far end and stomp-jump onto the first pillar. Jump up the sinking pillars to stomp-jump to the top for a Key. Drop off and jump on the nearest button six times, then the others in turn (i.e. in the reverse direction from the first time). Jump up the sinking pillars, as before, to reach the top to rescue a caged Gobbo. Proceed through the opened door for the second puzzle.

The bomb crate will follow the arrows when you push it, but they're not facing the right way to lead it to the Gobbo in the glass case. So go to the arrow behind the crate and stomp it so it points to the next one on the left. Now go to that arrow and stomp it three times so it points to the next one. Stomp the remaining arrows so each points to the next, ending up at the glass case. The bomb crate will follow you round: move out of the way and it'll blast the case open. Exit through the opened door.

The third puzzle features a spooky crate that moves around on its own. You have to chase it around to try and jump on it. When it's stopped in a corner, approach from the middle so it starts moving, then immediately turn 180¡ and head for the opposite corner to where it was, to try to jump on it. Don't worry is you miss first time: the crate will just keep going round in a circle, so you can time your leap onto it as it comes back round. After landing on it, stomp it for the Key, and then head for the lock on the wall to lower the Gobbo. Rescue him and head through the door for the fourth puzzle.

Approach the glass case, then try to catch one of the falling bomb barrels - use their shadows to guide you. Once you've got one, throw it at the glass case: three hits will free the Gobbo. Exit through the door for the final puzzle.

This one's quite tricky. Jump to the steerable platform and move it to the pillar with the blue button. Jump on the latter, then quickly jump back to the steerable platform and guide it to the next blue button on the pillar at the far end. You have to jump on it before it disappears, otherwise you'll have to start with the first button again. You thus have to hit six buttons in sequence to raise a pillar by the ledge on the far right. Once you've hit the sixth button, the pillar will remain raised. Steer the platform to jump to it, then over to the ledge to rescue the Gobbo. Exit through the door to go to Mission 5.

Mission 5: Goo Man Chu's Tower

The goo level is rising fast, so immediately run right along the green ledge, watching out for the sliding gray ledge (it rumbles just before it moves), to reach the wooden raft. As it rises, jump right to the next green ledge as soon as you see it - too late and it'll sink in the goo! Repeat for the next raft and head up the steps, watching out for that sliding gray one, to another raft. As it rises, jump right and up more steps, over another sliding gray ledge, and finally the exit door.

Swipe the green slime monsters, which drop in and stomp the crystals crates. Head down the passage and collect the crystals around the green beam. Head right and bang the Gong, then stomp the crates. Head back past the green beam, swiping more slimers. Stomp two more crates and enter the doorway to return to the goo pit - agh!

Quickly head right up the steps (and sliding ledge). Watch out for more sliding ledges before and after the second set of steps. A crumbling ledge then leads to the raft, but the rest is easy. Jump right to more steps (no sliders) leading to another raft. Jump right and up the steps the exit.

Swipe the slimers and head forward for a crystals crate. Turn round and head left up the tunnel to another green beam. Make sure you head right from it to bang the Gong, then turn around and head for the exit door.

Yep, another goo pit! Run right along the crumbling ledge, then up crumbling steps to the raft. This time you have to jump left as it rises. A crumbling ledge leads to a raft: jump right from this one and up the crumbling steps. Continue right past two more sliding ledges to another raft. Jump right up ordinary steps to the exit.

Swiping the slimers, head right for two more crates. Proceed through the opposite tunnel. Turn left and head straight over to stomp the crate and bang the Gong. Turn back and head left to find the exit door.

Another goo pit, but this one's short. Just keep jumping right up the steps, including a couple of sliders to reach the exit. Swipe the slimers and stomp the crates, heading down the tunnel for more. Through the doorway you'll finally meet the boss! After all that palaver, he's easy to defeat. Just run around to the back and swipe the tap to drain him away. It's then straight on to Mission 6.

Mission 6: Dante's Final Fight

It's the final showdown with Baron Dante, but it's not too difficult. Just swipe the Dantinis before they can catch the Inventor, so he can work on the colored crystals. Keep running around to dodge Dante's fireballs. Whenever the Inventor places one of the crystals, Dante will get mad and blow a hurricane at you: keep running towards him, moving left/right to avoid any fireballs. Once the Inventor has placed all five crystals, the resulting energy field will finish off Dante.

Mission 7: Inca Tribe - Secret Maze

After the end sequence and credits, you'll be returned to the Inca Village. Head up the pyramid slope and drop left to the first ledge. Head round it to enter the door to the secret mission. It's a maze level.

The quickest route to the Jigsaw Piece is thus... Head right through the arch, round to a crate. Take a right at the junction, then the first left. Turning right, head straight on past the left turn to the crate. Round the corner, head straight on past the first right turn to the wall. Turn right to head for the statue and crate. Head left through the arch to find a crate and the Jigsaw Piece. Collect it to return to the village.

Secret Sailor Village

No friendly Gobbos here - just nasty Dantinis. Swipe the first one and head through the passage to enter the door on the right.

Cross the bridge, swiping all the bolt-firing Dantinis. Continue along the path to find a caged crate. Cross the bridge to swipe a Dantini. Head right to swipe another and find a crate. Swipe the nearby Dantini before pushing the crate around to the end of the gray path. From the edge of the crate, stomp-jump up to the ledge for the Key. Head back round to the caged crate and stomp it. Turn round and cross the bridge. Stomp-jump onto the tree, and then jump up the crumbling platforms to the top ledge. Swipe/avoid the Dantinis to get the Red Gem.

Back in the village, head over the bridge and past Pete's Hut to find the caged Egg. Enter the first door on the left. Jump over the lava via the bomb crates, swiping the Dantinis. Head up the passage and swipe the Dantini on the left. Swipe the swinger and use his rope. Swipe the Dantini and jump over to the mine cart. Ride it to collect the Green Gem.

Head past the caged Egg and into the left door. Swipe the Dantinis as you follow the broken walkway round to a crate. Stomp-jump from it to a crumbling platform and the top walkway (if you miss it, exit and re-enter the level). Head round to stomp the crate, then back to jump the two crumbling platforms to the Pink Gem.

Cross the bridge and enter the doorway on the left. Float down on the balloon, dropping off onto the crate. Stomp it and jump forward to swipe a Dantini. Jump over the platforms to the far side and swipe two more Dantinis. Jump via the crumbling platform to the ledge for the Blue Gem (if you miss the ledge, another platform will appear).

Head over to the opposite doorway. Here you just have to jump via the crumbling crates (they take a while to fall, so don't rush it) and pillars, swiping Dantinis, to reach a balloon. Float down on it to reach the Yellow Gem. Back in the village, head back to the uncaged Egg 1 to collect it.

Secret Cossack Village

Head right past Pete's Hut to enter the open doorway. Jump the lava pits via the small platforms. Time your jumps past the fireballs, and then jump over more lava pits. Jump right via the crumbling crates and standard platforms. Through the tunnel you'll find the Pink Gem.

Back in the village, head past Pete's Hut to the station, swiping Dantinis. Enter the right doorway. Jump up the two pillars and turn right to see a walkway. Stomp-jump to it and head past the Dantini for a Key. Jump back to the walkway and down to the pillar again. Stomp-jump to the left walkway and head past a Dantini to the crate. Stomp it and head back over the walkway. Jump left via the crumbling platform and past the Dantini to unlock the Blue Gem.

Follow the railway track right into the doorway. Jump up past the Dantini to see the caged Gem. Proceed past the three Dantinis on the next ice sheet. Past the pillar, jump via the platform and swipe the Dantini. Stomp the crate, then jump back to the platform and right up the crumbling ice ones. Stomp the crate at the top, then turn and jump back down the ice platforms to the solid one. Jump right and head back past the three Dantinis. Jump up the new ice platforms to reach the Key. Head back to unlock the Green Gem.

Head towards Pete's Hut and right down the slope. Go past the caged Egg and jump up the other side. Up the slope, swipe the Dantini and head left between the rocks. Enter the first doorway on the right. Roll the snowball straight down, past the Dantini and caged Gem. Continue down past a Dantini and follow the path round over two more. Continue up over the hump and another Dantini to find the Key. Head back down to the cage to unlock the Red Gem.

Head right past the Dantini to enter the next doorway. You'll see the caged Gem on the right. Head left and jump along the series of crumbling crates (no need to rush it) to the ledge with the Key. Return via the crates to unlock the Yellow Gem. Now go down the slope to collect Egg 2.

Secret Caveman Village

Head up the sloping path to find the caged Egg. Enter the left doorway. Swipe the Dantini and jump the lava pit to swipe two more. Jump to the walkway and swipe the first green swinger. Stomp-jump up to the higher walkway, swiping another swinger. Head left and swipe the swinger to get the Key. Head to the other end of the walkway and jump down to the pillar. Swipe the swinger and use his rope to reach the Dantini. Swipe him and head up the tunnel, past more Dantinis and lava pits, to unlock the caged Red Gem.

Back in the village, enter the opposite door. Jump down to the conveyor belt. Swipe the floating Dantini on the left and jump down to the next belt to swipe two more dart-blowers. Jump down to the next conveyor, swiping a Dantini. Watch out for the crusher at the end - when it's just gone up, get under it and jump left to the nearest part of the ledge. Head left for the Green Gem.

Head over the platforms in the lava, past the ring of stones to enter the doorway there. Swipe the Dantini on the right and continue right to the burning cage. Select the water in your inventory and extinguish the fire. Swipe the next Dantini and climb up the right wall. Swipe a Dantini, then extinguish the burning bridge and cross it. Put out the burning tree on the right and jump to the top for the Key. Head back down to the caged crate and stomp it. Head back up over the bridge and past the tree to swipe a Dantini. Drop down to swipe another, and then jump along the crumbling platforms to claim the Pink Gem.

Head right past the Dantini and down the dark passage to the cauldron. Enter the doorway on the far right. It's time for some more mine-carting. To avoid the dodgy track, steer left, right, right, right, left, left, right, then jump the gap by the track supports. Steer right, left, and then jump the gap. At the end you'll find the Yellow Gem.

Head left past the cauldron and up the passage to the ring of stones. Drop down the sloping path and enter the right doorway. Turn left and stomp the platforms crate. Swipe the nearby Dantini and jump via the crumbling crate to swipe another. Swipe the one behind him and stomp the platforms crate on the left. Cross the new crumbling platforms to the far ledge, where two Dantinis guard the Blue Gem.

Head back up the sloping path and over the lava platforms to collect Egg 3. You'll then see a 100% completion message before the credits roll.
